Abstract:
Advancements in green roof technology have increased the viability of detention-based systems helping to reduce peak runoff rates while improving hydrologic performance during multiple day rainfall events with high antecedent moisture conditions. Due to increased municipal peak runoff rate requirements, it is important to be able to incorporate these designs in hydraulic/hydrologic models such as EPA SWMM for planning and permitting purposes. The work presented here demonstrates their utilization in SWMM modeling through the development of SWMM LID Controls and application in a site scale case study
